Your privacy at Seednotes

Account details and saved work
Google sign-in identifies your Seednotes account. Firebase Authentication processes your account identifier and Google-provided account details such as email address, display name and profile image. Seednotes does not receive your Google password.
Notebook names, notes, uploaded pictures, drawings, picture annotations, quiz covers, sticker placements, calendar entries and to-do lists save to Google Firebase for use across devices. Imported PDF reference files stay in the browser where you imported them; filenames may appear in saved notes. Keep original PDFs separately.
Access and sharing
Sign-in and database access rules separate students’ workspaces. Seednotes is not end-to-end encrypted. Authorized administrators and service providers may technically access stored data to operate, maintain or troubleshoot the service and respond to account requests. Do not upload patient-identifying information, passwords or other sensitive records.
A sharing link lets signed-in people with the link view the selected page and its future saved changes, including its uploaded picture and annotations. Other pages, calendar and to-do lists are not shared. PDF reference files are not shared. Recipients can save copies. Revoking a link stops future access through that link; it cannot erase copies already saved by recipients.
Service providers and browser storage
Google Firebase provides authentication, hosting and database storage. Firebase software loads from Google. Google services process connection and operational information such as internet addresses and requests under their own policies. Browser storage keeps you signed in and holds local PDF references. Sign out on shared devices.
The current application includes no advertising or separate analytics tracking tool. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Firebase privacy information. This notice does not promise that providers retain no operational logs.
Export, account deletion and retention
You can export an editable backup or print pages. Downloaded backups and original files remain where you save them.
Open Account & privacy to back up your notes and confirm Delete my account and data. Google sign-in verification is required. Deletion removes your current workspace, active sharing records and copies, and this browser’s account PDF references before deleting your Seednotes authentication account. Your Google account is unchanged. If interrupted, return and resume deletion.
A minimal marker associated with the former account identifier remains to prevent old sessions restoring deleted content. Copies downloaded by recipients, original files, backups you downloaded and PDF references in other browsers are not removed. Remove local copies separately. Provider logs, backups and inaccessible records from older app versions may persist under provider retention or require manual assistance. No immediate removal from every provider backup is promised.
Uninstalling the app or removing a shortcut does not delete cloud notes. If you cannot sign in, or need help with older records, email seednoteshelp@gmail.com. Account ownership may need to be verified. Do not send passwords or private notes by email.
Students and updates
Seednotes is a general study tool, not a school-managed student-record or clinical patient-record system. Contact support with concerns about a child’s account. This notice will be updated when the app’s data practices change.
